When young people come to your clinic, do they feel welcome? Do they feel respected throughout their visit? Do they get what they (really) need? What is youth-friendliness and why does it matter?

Join Adolescent Health Initiative and True You Maryland, a program of the Maryland Department of Health, on June 20th at 12:00 PM ET to discover ways you and your clinic can go from “mid” to stellar in the eyes of your community’s young people. You will hear the results of Wicomico County Youth Advisory Board’s “Photovoice Project” which assessed the youth-friendliness of health services and used them to plot a path forward. All young people deserve to feel safe, secure and cared for at your clinic so they can thrive. You won’t want to miss this conversation!

After this training, participants will be able to:
  • Identify youth-friendly characteristics of a health center
  • Reflect on your site’s strengths and areas for improvement in youth-friendliness
  • Address concerns from Wicomico County YAB Photovoice Project with youth-friendly solutions
