We Shine Our Brightest Together

Over the course of three days, we’ll gather to reflect, recharge, and remember that we shine our brightest together.

In a time of deep uncertainty and growing attacks on our communities, what gives us strength is not just our expertise or experience—it’s each other.

Our general sessions are more than keynotes or panels—they’re shared moments of clarity, courage, and collective momentum.

At this year’s #HealthyTeen25 conference in Atlanta, our general sessions are more than keynotes or panels—they’re shared moments of clarity, courage, and collective momentum. These sessions are about showing up, building power, and leaving with more than just ideas—you’ll leave with connection.

Over the course of three days, we’ll gather to reflect, recharge, and remember that we shine our brightest together.

Opening Session: Monday, October 6

Start your conference experience grounded in purpose and fueled by community.

We open our time together with Adaku Utah, a visionary leader who brings more than two decades of wisdom from gender, reproductive, racial, youth, and healing justice movements. With roots in Nigeria and Baltimore and a lifelong practice of somatics, ritual, and community organizing, Adaku invites us into a bold exploration of transformative solidarity.

Together, we’ll explore how to move from individual struggle to collective care, and how networks of mutual support can protect and sustain our communities in this moment and beyond. We’ll reflect on how young leaders and professionals can deepen solidarity to create conditions where everyone can thrive.

Morning Session: Tuesday, October 7

This intergenerational conversation gets to the heart of our work: ensuring every young person has the power, care, and resources to live fully and freely.

Dr. Nakisha Floyd brings a deep understanding of how systems impact youth—and how everyday advocacy can begin to shift them. Alongside her, rising leaders Anaia Clyburn and LaNiya Gilmer will share their lived experiences and vision for justice that centers youth voices, racial equity, and real relationships.

You’ll leave this session reconnected to your “why”—and with renewed energy to act on it.

Closing Session: Wednesday, October 8

Let’s end this conference ready to take action.

Jaclyn Friedman, founder of EducateUS and a trailblazer in the movement for affirmative consent, brings sharp strategy and grounded hope to this vital session. In today’s climate, defending sex ed is no easy task—but it is possible. And Jaclyn will show you how.

From message strategies that cut through noise to tools for building real power in your community, you’ll leave ready to organize smarter, protect your own energy, and push forward—not in isolation, but together.

Arianna de la Mancha is an artist, writer, sex educator as well as Communications Designer at Healthy Teen Network.
